A Tribute to the people who fight their battle against poverty

hello friends , thats really nice to tell u a story of a simple human being.. last evening I met a lady.. carrying a bag of dried leaves on her head..she was in a torn saree having dull & rough hair tied tightly with a red ribbon... i don't know why i am writing about her.. what was special about her...may be the spirit with which she fights the greatest war of everyday life, her fights against poverty...

the moon was shining and sky was filled with sparkling stars ... i was walking with her silently..suddenly she asked me "whats the time now"..i replied "7:00 Pm" ...

she started to walk more faster .. though she was totally unknown to me..still i could not control my curiosity and asked her "r u in a hurry" she replied "yes" "entire day i worked hard as a daily laborer and now moving back to my little house , on the way to home i have collected some dried leaves....to cook some foods to feed my children and my husband" i was surprised and asked " what does your husband do?" she replied "he is lying in bed due to paralysis"after a long gap she continued ...." i have three children, two sons and one daughter..my husband was a carpenter ..one day while fixing windows in a building , he fell down from there and now can't move...he is lying in bed for last three years....trying my best for his proper treatment......though i know its not possible for me to give him proper treatment and buy best medicines.. still i am trying my best..."..... then she stopped..
suddenly i looked at her eyes and found those were filled with tears...her tear filled eyes were looking like that of the ponds filled with water......

again after a long silence she asked me "whats the time now" i replied "Its 7:30" she told me " oh..God..i am getting late , bye...."and started walking more faster .. i could not walk at that speed ..so i stopped there ... entire place was shining by the effect of calm florescent rays of moon and i was looking at her moving at the fastest speed to continue her battle against poverty....
